BACKGROUND
Favourite Son Cabernet Sauvignon is made up of two parcels of fruit from the Coonawarra region; the first is grown on our estate ‘Abbey’ vineyard while the other is sourced from the ‘Williams’ family vineyard, which is located a five minute tractor ride from Parker. Following harvest, the fruit was fermented in 20T static fermenters before being transferred to second and third fill French oak Hogsheads for 9 months maturation.
TASTING NOTES
Colour: Deep purple with red-brick hues. Aroma: Lifted aroma of blackcurrant, dark plum, subtle cedar and a hint of black olives.
Palate: Rich dark fruit notes, milk chocolate and toasted pine all feature harmoniously together. Grippy, drying tannins lead into a moreish, lingering finish.

Beyond worth it!

Before this, I used battery powered frothers and couldn’t keep up with replacing the batteries. As soon as the batteries began to lose their charge, the frothers weren’t powerful enough. Somehow, this doesn’t begin to lose its charge until the charge runs out. I’ve spent a fraction of the price buying this as I did on batteries. I got this in Aug 2024. It’s amazing and incredibly powerful. In a year, I charged it 3 times.
If you don’t get the froth you’re looking for, I’d suggest you watch a video on how to froth correctly. I learned there’s a proper technique that really improves the outcome. It made a world of difference for me.
The charge time advertised is not correct. It lasts much much much longer on one charge. After the charge died, I charged it for maybe an hour and then I used it to whisk thick body butter. When washing it, I got it too wet. The motor wouldn’t stop running, so I called it a loss and put it outside to let it run until it stopped. It ran for hours. Sometime during the night it shut off. The next day, I pressed the on button again and it ran the entire day.
It has a warranty, but I never registered mine, so I don’t mind paying for a replacement since it is so inexpensive.
I’m writing this review now because I liked it so much that I just purchased another one to replace it. I hope this helps.
If you’re unsure:
It is incredibly powerful, but has two speeds, so one will work for any frothing needs.
The price is unbeatable, much less than you’ll spend on batteries.
The charge lasts unbelievably long and stays just as powerful until the charge runs out.
It is detachable, so washing it is really simple. Just wipe the top part.

Mostly good, with one design flaw - See Update - Five stars for new version!

*I bumped my rating from 3 to 4 stars because of the customer service. The seller's response to customer reviews is excellent. This particular model (MF05) still gets 3 stars from me, but the new version (MF09) is definitely a 5 star product. See update below.*
Second Update: I received the new version (FoodVille MF09), and really like it. It solves the variable speed problem. Three speeds are still available, however, each has its own on/off switch, so no more cycling through. It also comes with an additional hook attachment for mixing powders with liquid, as well as a charging stand. It is a few dollars more, but most definitely worth it! Update: FoodVille contacted me to let me know they have a new version of this frother that addresses the variable speed issue I've complained about. They are sending me the new frother, and I will post a review on the updated version soon. The new version is FoodVille MF09, so be sure to check it out as it sounds better than the MF05 I have purchased and reviewed here. In addition to fixing the speed issue, they have included a charging dock.
I've had this frother for a few months now. Overall, it works as well as my Aerolatte hand-held that died. I like that it is rechargeable, since I went through quite a lot of batteries before. My problem with this is the way you have to cycle through the speeds, rather than just selecting the one you want. This is a problem because sometimes I'll need to stop it before I'm finished and then when I resume it is on the next faster speed, which causes the milk to fly out of the glass before I can get back to the lower setting. I have ruined at least one shirt with stains from the flying milk. Also, because of where the on/off button is, and because of its sensitivity, I sometimes turn it off accidentally, which of course causes the milk to slosh everywhere getting back to the lower setting. I really wish you could just pick a speed, even if that means just a high and a low. I'm thinking of going back to a single speed frother. All but the lowest speed seems to be too strong to froth milk anyway.
So, it works, it has good battery life, but cycling through the speeds has been a problem for me. I'll keep using it for now, but may be in the market for something different soon.

Best Frother in this Category!!!

This is by far the best frothers the money that I have purchased. It has two speeds, with the second being very powerful. These units charge quickly and they hold a charge for a long time. The attachments are sturdy and they do not warp and spin off-center like many others. I would also like to say that Foodville has a very generous warranty. I had one unit stop working after eight months and they replaced it promptly within two weeks.. I highly recommend!

No Other Option Needed (and no batteries required!)

The price is good, it works great, the usb c charging is such a plus, I’d definitely recommend if someone needs a frother. The rechargeable feature is key for long term value.
A more niche use case I have is using this to mix my protein mix powder with water on days I don’t want to make a whole smoothie. It’s easy and lets me silently, even at night when a blender would be too loud, mix powdered drinks by hand.
The size is good too, it fits into cupboards easily.
